The men’s 1st team beat league champions Worcester in the HFA Junior Cup in an astonishing final played at Lads Club 7-4. After absorbing the early pressure Ross took the lead but were soon pegged back. This than triggered a remarkable period period as Ross went into the break 4-2 up.
The goals continued to flow after the break as Worcester pulled a goal back, but Ross restored their 2 goal advantage to make it 5-3 on the hour mark.
Worcester made it 5-4 with 15 minutes left, however this spurred on Ross in the closing stages to add two more goals to make the final score 7-4. A brilliant display of football from both sides with some cracking goals.
The goal scorers in this goal feast for Ross were Paul Wooding, Florin Crainic 2, Ryan Shemwell, Mikey Donaldson 2 and James Reid the end Ross deserved their success as they put in their best performance of the season.
And this is the 1st time that Ross has won this prestigious cup that dates back to 1959.
