A selection of Ross Juniors FC club members, including Chairmen Jim Loftus, travelled to the Shire Hall in Hereford on Wednesday evening (10th February) to collect Herefordshire Sports Club of the Year award. This is the second time Ross Juniors has won this award in 3 years. The club is extremely honoured to collect this award and this year Ross Juniors FC shares the accolade with City of Hereford Swimming Club, with each club holding the trophy for 6 months.
Ross Juniors FC would like to thank honorary patrons of the club Paul Deneen OBE JP DL and Joyce Thomas MBE DL for their nomination and continued support. Their time and continued advice is much appreciated by the Club, as Ross Juniors continues to develop.
This completes a hat trick of awards for the club for in 2015. They received the Queens Award for
Voluntary Service and were the Community Club of the Year at the recent Hereford and Worcestershire awards ceremony.
Vice Chairperson Vanda Nixon commented 'This rounds of a fantastic year for our club. This is another acknowledgment to our loyal volunteers who put countless hours into the club every week. Without these brilliant people we could not provide football and be in a position where we are now in being one the leading clubs in the county'.
