Our SSE Wildcats programme has now ended and going into it there was no idea what the outcome could be. The aim was to engage girls new into football and hope they like it and continue with the beautiful game.
With 38 wildcats signing up the initial targets were smashed. A brand new u 8 Colts team begin their league campaign this week made up solely of wildcats. Another key success was 7 girls aged 8-9, these girls have now been integrated into our u10 section and we will have two teams this season compared to one previously. This in turn means more girls are getting to play football. On top of this 4 girls have joined our u12 section meaning we can field three teams in this age group.
Overall a fantastic success and we would recommend wildcats to any club looking to grow their female section.
