New under 18 girls team for next season

May 9, 2018

The club for the first time will be fielding an U18 team in the Gloucestershire FA Girls League for the 2018/19 season beginning in September. For girls who will be in school years 11-13 come September this will be an opportunity for them to continue to play football and also gives Ross Juniors an established pathway into their ladies team in the future. We are likely to be one of very few clubs in Herefordshire offering this opportunity.

Many of our current U16's will move up into this team and the club are keen to hear from any new players interested in joining. The games will be competitive with the opportunity to play some clubs such as Cheltenham Town Ladies, Downend Flyers and AEK Boco from Bristol. With a club tour to Paris and a rematch against touring Australian girls side Wanderers FC coached by Melbourne City stars the club has much to offer. The team will also benefit from being a Birmingham City Ladies Club sister club, our players receive training from their players and coaches through the year as well as a chance to enter their sister club tournament, Ross came 2nd this year in it at U16 level. The pitches and facilities are excellent for this level too and with a current sponsor the girls are already kitted out for next season.
